Our parent company is Glengyle Knitwear, you may remember us for the gorgeous twinsets and stylish fashion we have created over the years. THe Glengyle range itself is no longer in production however we now have the new Ebony Merino range to cater to all your knitwear needs.  

15 years ago I started a new line of 100% NZ & Australian Merino Wool Clothing for Women which you now know as Ebony Merino NZ.  Our merino range is machine washable, anti-pilling, wonderful to touch and feels great next to your skin.  Every year we have a lustrous range of colours and styles for all body types.

Our garments are made from 100% Merino Wool sourced from NZ & Australian farms.  Merino wool is a natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre making it a sustainable and environmentally friendly choice. 

Animal welfare is important to us and the merino wool used in our garments is traceable to the farm and muelsing-free.  The farms our wool comes from implement ethical practices meaning the sheep graze free, are sheltered and treated with care.

Merino wool reacts to the moisture in the air around it, generating heat which is trapped in tiny air pockets formed by the fibres in the garment to keep you warm.  In warm weather this process is reversed, wicking moisture away from your body.  Merino Wool is also one of the least flammable fibres around.  It is self-extinguishing and does not melt and stick to you.
